The following Jefferson Elementary School class photos were taken between 1949 and 1956 in Rotterdam (Schenectady), New York. The "old" Jefferson Elementary school building is now the Rotterdam police station located on Princetown Road.

All the above photos were mainly of students destined to be the Schalmont High School graduating class of 1961. The following 7th grade photo is of those destined to be the Schalmont class of 1960. Their names are at the base of the photo provided by Dennis Lock.
4th Grade, at the "new" Jefferson School, probably a cool, Spring day in April 1953 based upon clothing, the Spring theme on the back wall, and the fresh sprig on the teacher's desk.
The teacher's name was Ms. Abbott until she married a Mr. Cramer.
