The year 2003 started cold and wintry with enough snow for me and my cousin Logan to sit on huge snowballs.
(Me and Friends)
In February my Mom loved her Valentine balloon.
In March my cousin Logan and I looked for beavers.
... and watching Uncle Chuck icefish.
In April we visited my Uncle Lou's farm in Schenectady, New York. Uncle Lou keeps his old red tractor clean and in his shed. And he's proud of his shed post that grew into a tree!
In the Spring Papa took us arrowhead hunting in a field where Maryland Indians camped long ago.
For Mothers Day we gave Grandma Pat a big balloon for her kitchen.
Even my dad stopped by to wish Grandma Pat a Happy Mother's Day and have a cup of coffee and a donut.
In July my Dad and I searched for buried treasure on the beach at Ocean City, Maryland.
In August we stayed at our house in the New York Adirondack Mountains on Brant Lake. I caught a huge pickeral right off our dock.
(My dad saying: "There's no fish in this lake.")
Some days I let my dad hold the fish I catch.
(Me, Logan and my cousin Ryan holding my pickeral).
Some days Dad plugs for fish in the Brant Lake inlet.
Sometimes my cousins and I climb the mountain opposite our camp on Brant Lake.
(Me, Ryan and Ashley on Sand Beach Mountain looking northeast.)
On nice evenings we go to Indian Kettles on Lake George for dinner.
One night someone kidnapped Hazel our fireplace bear and left a ransom note. This required difficult detective work.
(My Mom reading the ransom note.)
In October Papa found an American Chestnut grove at an abandoned homesite.
In August we also visited Uncle Lou's farm in Schenectady to pick big, red rasberries.
In September Papa took us to Mayo Beach on the Chesapeake Bay to wait for hurricane Isabel.
In October Grandma Pat and Mom helped me select my pumpkins.
In December Grandma Pat put a snowman in her trees.
My new brother Anthony Joseph arrived in November.
(Uncle Lou, Grandma Pat, my Mom and me with my sword.)
Thank you for visiting,
Luke Anthony.
In July I was asked to steer the Sea Rocket off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland.
(Mom, Dad and I at "The View" Restaurant looking north on Lake George. Mountain on left is "Rogers Rock.")
Through thorough investigation we recovered
Hazel our bear.
(Grandma Pat, Logan and I and our rasberries.)
(The very first moment I ever saw my new brother Tony.)
In December I waited for Christmas with my new brother.
